For those with a gluten intolerance it’s difficult to find certain foods you love that will not upset your body. Gluten issues to the body can be stomach pain or bloating, gas, cramps, nausea, constipation and skin rashes. Usually any food made from wheat or treated flour can cause those issues. 

Waffles would be a nightmare for some one who couldn’t tolerate gluten. Luckily gluten free flour is readily available. Here is a simple recipe to make gluten free waffles. 

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Gluten free flour
  • 3/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt 
  • 2 eggs 
  • 1/3 – 1/2 cup of non dairy milk ( almond, soy, coconut)
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil melted and cooled 
  • 2 tsp maple syrup or honey
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • your favorite waffle topping


Blend all the dry goods in a small bowl. 


Mix the eggs, milk, honey, coconut oil and vanilla in a large bowl and whisk together.


Pour the small bowl into the large bowl. Whisk all the ingredients together. 


Pour into your waffle maker and wait for the goodness to be done. 


Top with your favorite ingredients and there you have it. A sweet savory breakfast that won’t upset you insides. Bon appetit!
